Lizzie Loel is a qualified chef, trained in Brisbane and Paris, who has been the restaurant critic for The Courier Mail for the past nine years.
As a freelance writer, she also regularly writes feature articles for The Good Life section of the paper as well as the travel section. She has been the principal reviewer for The Good Life Restaurant Guide since 2003. Lizzie reviewed for Australian Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide for the seven years and was State Editor of Australian Gourmet Traveller from 2004 - 2007. She also has regular columns in Winestate Magazine, Aura, Scoop Traveller and Brisbane Where Magazine and her bi-line regularly appears in prestigious publications such as Vogue Entertaining and Travel and Delicious Magazine.
In 2007 Lizzie co-edited the Courier Mail Food + Wine Guide, a comprehensive guide with over 500 listings within Northern New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
She is a highly respected writer and critic within the hospitality and tourism industries both within her home state and nationally.
